Travertine Tiles are cut from blocks either along or across the natural vein formations in the rock. According to the cutting style, travertine tiles are classified as vein-cut or cross-cut. Tiles are then honed (semi polished) and natural holes on the surface are filled to give a smooth and contemporary feeling to the tiles. Vein cut is not as common as cross cut in the market and is a rather specialist design. Vein cut finish fits especially to large scale cladding projects as well as indoor or outdoor walling and flooring. At some sources Vein Cut Travertine is sold as Murano Travertine.
